Hello
I’m Dhruvi.
If you’ve found your way here, thank you for pausing. The 25th Hour is a piece of my heart, a space I created to share the human side of medicine: the stories, emotions, and moments that often stay hidden behind hospital doors. Some stories heal, some haunt, some just sit with us for years. I’ve always believed that behind every prescription is a person, and behind every person is a story worth telling. This space is for those stories.
My Story
During medical school, I realised that there’s so much more to medicine than what we’re taught. Small conversations, silent goodbyes, the tears patients hold back, and the things doctors don’t always say out loud. I started writing these moments down so I wouldn’t forget them. I didn’t want to forget the night a resident stayed past his shift because a patient reminded him of his father. Or the time I saw a nurse quietly pray for a child after turning off the monitor. That’s how this idea slowly grew in my mind.
As time passed, I realised I wasn’t the only one carrying these untold stories. Every person in medicine has them: doctors, nurses, students, even patients and their families. Stories we don’t always get the time or space to talk about. That’s when The 25th Hour was born. I wanted to build a quiet corner on the internet where these stories could live.
The 25th Hour is my way of creating a space for these stories. The real ones. The kind that stay with us long after our shift is over. I wanted to make something honest, quiet, and human. A place where we can remember that it’s okay to feel, and that every story matters. Thank you for being here. I hope you find a story that makes you pause. I hope you feel a little less alone in whatever you're carrying. Happy reading!
